I'm a seasoned full-stack engineer, designer and the co-founder and CTO of Grids, a novel way for creatives to find meaningful work.

I have been designing and programming for about 10 years now. Technology has always fascinated me, and I feel grateful to call it my profession.

I'm inspired by the intersection of design, technology and human psychology. Outside of the digital industry, I'm a musician, a traveler, and a lifelong learner. There is something quite special and profound about exploring new cultures, trying new things, and meeting people from all walks of life.

My ethos

To me, my role as a creative technologist isn't just about making things look pretty. It is about solving problems, creating value, and making the world a better place. It's about understanding people's needs and desires, finding creative solutions through empathy, curiosity, and collaboration. It's about simplifying complexity, making boring interesting, and turning ordinary extraordinary.

Through technology and design, I aim to shape the world around me in a way that benefits people and society as a whole.

Through art and design

I grew up playing the piano. Music—and by extension, art—has always been a big part of my life. I don't think I would be able to do what I do without it. For me, art is a subliminal layer of our shared experience; one that transcends language, culture, and time. It's a way to express the inexpressible, to connect with others, and to make sense of the world around us.

I strongly feel that "true" design (whatever that means) is one that is a combination of technical experience, emotional awareness, and artistic expression. Things will stick when they are beautiful, delightful, and emotionally resonant.

What I believe

Less really is more. As Antoine de Saint-Exupéry said in Airman's Odyssey: Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away. Design is communication and design is implicit. In my opinion, there is simply no other way to do this.

This is what I'm here to do; finding the essence of things, and to making them shine.
